Keystone Recognized at the EPWPCOA 2021 Annual Awards Program

On November 19, 2021, Keystone was honored by the Eastern Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association (EPWPCOA) during their 2021 Annual Awards Program.

Keystone is a proud recipient of the Joseph N. McKenna Memorial Service Award. This award is given to members of the EPWPCOA to honor Joseph N. McKenna for his technical contributions to the Association as a manufacturers’ representative in the water pollution control field. Each year, the Association gives the award to a firm or company who’ve made technical and financial contributions to EPWPCOA. Keystone is proud of our many years of participation in the EPWPCOA as a vendor, sponsor, and assistance with various committees and events. Many of our employees have been involved in the Association over the years as officers, committee members, trainers or just helping with a variety of activities.

Additionally, one of Keystone’s founding partners, Phil Schwartz, P.E., was the recipient of a Lifetime Membership Award. Phil was one of two recipients of this award in 2021! The Lifetime Membership Award is granted by the Board of Directors. It is awarded to individuals who have performed outstanding, faithful and/or extraordinary service to EPWPCOA. Phil is a past President and a current Director of the Association. He is involved in the Education and Training Committee and has planned, instructed, or assisted in numerous training classes for the Association. Phil can also be credited for writing many lighthearted meeting and plant tour reviews for the Association’s newsletter.

Lastly, Keystone’s Director of Automation, Heather Heltzinger, was sworn in as the Association’s Second Vice-President for 2022. Over the past 9 years, Heather has been involved in several committees including the Young Professionals, Trade Show Committee, Golf Committee, and Mid-Summer Exp Committee. Throughout her involvement in the Association, she has volunteered her time by helping to set up for events, tradeshows, and meetings. She is looking forward to strengthening her involvement as she cycles through the chair positions starting in 2022!

Keystone is extremely grateful and honored by the recognition we received at this year’s Annual Awards Program. We are eager to continue to support the Association in 2022.
